Hope you are doing fine! Recently, I wrote a blog about hair care tips and a person commented that she wants to know that how can she get rid of dandruff.

7 out of 10 people suffer from dandruff, especially in winters.

I know it’s very itchy and irritating when you get dandruff in your hair.

So, without wasting your time I will be telling you tips as to how to get rid of this yucky dandruff!! There are some home remedies as well which will help you!

Let’s get started!!

1. COCONUT OIL AND LEMON JUICE

You must be wondering about this weird combo but yes!!

Lemon juice is considered really amazing and due to its anti-fungal properties, it does wonders.

On the other hand, coconut oil helps in moisturizing your dry scalp and tackles the itchiness like a pro!! Also, it helps in better nutrition and hair growth from the roots.

Steps to follow-

In order to get rid of dandruff, the first and the foremost step is to combine the equal parts of both; coconut oil and lemon juice, and then gently massage into the roots of your scalp. Let it sit for like 30 minutes before you shower your hair. Follow this regularly to get rid of dandruff.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has a lot of magic elements and I am very happy to include this in my hair care regime.

Steps to follow-

You will have to mix 2 cups of apple cider vinegar with 3 cups of cold water. Use this mixture to rinse your hair after you have done with shampooing. Let it sit for 2 minutes before washing it off for better results. Do this at least once in a week.

Remember – Never use hot water as it will make your hair dry and lead to hair fall.

3. Olive oil and Vinegar

Mix 2 tbsp of white vinegar and 1 tbsp of olive oil and dilute it with a bowl of water. Make sections of your hair and apply it on all the parts and massage the scalp for 5-7 minutes. Wash it off with sulphate free and paraben-free anti-dandruff shampoo and later on apply a conditioner.

4. Tea Tree Oil

I have been using Tea Tree oil for very long whenever I face dandruff related issues. Owing to its potent cleansing and anti-fungal properties, it is very effective to remove dandruff permanently.

You need to add 6 drops of tea tree oil with half a bowl of any casual oil like almond or coconut oil and gently massage the mixture on your hair. As an alternative, you can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to your regular shampoo to make it natural and anti-dandruff shampoo.

Tea tree oil is a vitamin-enriched complete scalp care formulation. It controls sebum production and its antifungal properties restore damaged scalp.

5. Yoghurt

As we all know that yoghurt has lactic acid which helps to reduce the appearance of dandruff on your hair. This remedy will also add a protein to your hair and strengthen your hair from roots.

Steps to follow-

Firstly rinse your hair with lukewarm hair and later on pat your hair with a dry towel. Remember, not to rub your hair with a towel otherwise it will get rough and you will end up having split ends. Apply a layer of yoghurt on your scalp and hair. For better results, mix aloe gel and vitamin E capsule with yoghurt. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash it off with water.
